Quick setup:
  1. Extract the DControl ZIP.
  2. Open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Manage settings.
  3. Temporarily turn Tamper Protection off.
  4. Run dControl.exe as Administrator.
  5. Click Disable Windows Defender.
  6. The window should indicate “Windows Defender is turned off.”
When finished: open DControl again → Enable Windows Defender, then turn Tamper Protection back on.
